The Issue
Car-dependent cities generate massive pollution, traffic congestion, and social exclusion for those who cannot afford a vehicle. Public transport is the great equalizer — but only when it is safe, affordable, frequent, and clean. Many cities continue to invest in road expansion while starving public transit of funding. We demand significant investment in electric and hydrogen-powered buses, expansion of rail and metro networks, affordable pricing to ensure universal access, and urban planning policies that prioritize cycling and walking over car infrastructure.
