The Issue
Hundreds of Venezuelans remain imprisoned for peaceful opposition to their government. Many have been held for years without fair trial, subjected to torture and inhumane conditions. Their families live in fear. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, the end of arbitrary detentions and political prosecutions, independent international monitoring of detention conditions, and transitional justice mechanisms that guarantee accountability.
