The Issue
Over 2 billion people worldwide still lack access to safe drinking water at home. Contaminated water kills more children under five than malaria, HIV, and measles combined. In many rural and low-income communities, women and girls spend hours each day collecting water, denying them education and economic opportunity. We demand urgent investment in water infrastructure for underserved communities, establishment of water safety monitoring programs, maintenance and expansion of existing water systems, and recognition of access to clean water as a legally enforceable human right.
